A note on tax receipts for donations impacted by the mail strike.

Canada Revenue Agency regulations require any donation received by mail to be postmarked no later than December 31st in order to receive a 2024 tax receipt. If donations made by mail include a cheque, the cheque must have a December 2024 date.

Unfortunately, if you made a donation to SickKids Foundation by mail and delivery was delayed due to the Canada Post strike and is not postmarked by December 31st , you will be issued a 2025 tax receipt. We thank you for your generosity and understanding.
