Patsy Anderson
Patsy Anderson - Chair
Patsy Anderson serves on the boards of both the Foundation and the Hospital. She is also a member of the board of The Aldeburgh Connection, a Trustee of Rosedale United Church, an advisor on the Faculty of Arts and Science Dean's Circle at Queen's University, and a past Chair of Roy Thomson Hall and Massey Hall. Patsy is a graduate of Queen's University and the Harvard Business School and her past career included corporate banking in Toronto and New York.

John Francis is the founder of Fraser Kearney Capital Corporation and most recently was President & CEO of Trader Media Corporation, Ontario's largest publisher of classified advertising magazines and websites. John has been with Trader Media since 1991. Previously he worked in New York and Los Angeles in investment banking for various firms, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. John became a board member of SickKids Foundation in November 2003. He has an HBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Most recently, Bob Aziz was the President of Great Gulf Homes. Previous to that. he was Senior Vice-President & Assistant General Counsel, TD Bank Financial Group. Bob was responsible for day-to-day operations of TD Bank Financial Group’s Legal Department and a member of the TD Bank Financial Group’s Privacy Council, Communication Strategy Committee and Regulatory Affairs Committee. Bob served on the Board of Directors of the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Charitable Corporation from 1995 to 2003 and as Chairman from 2001 to 2003. In addition to the annual fundraising activities of the Charitable Corporation, Bob oversaw a successful $10million capital campaign. He is also actively involved as a coach in minor hockey in Oakville and Toronto.

Ms. Baxendale is the Senior Executive Vice-President, CIBC Retail Markets & Wealth Management. Most recently, Ms. Baxendale was the senior executive vice-president, CIBC Retail Markets. Prior to that, Ms. Baxendale led the CIBC Wealth Management business. Since joining CIBC in 1992, Ms. Baxendale has played a key role in developing strategy and direction for CIBC’s Retail Markets and Wealth Management businesses and has held various leadership roles including executive vice-president, Asset Management, Card Products and Collections, and executive vice-president of Global Private Banking & Investment Management Services. Prior to this, she was managing director, CIBC Wood Gundy.
Prior to joining CIBC, Ms. Baxendale held various positions with American Express Canada and Saatchi & Saatchi. Ms. Baxendale is a graduate of the University of Toronto and she was recognized in 2000 as one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40.
Ms. Baxendale is currently a director of CIBC Trust Co. Bahamas Ltd., CIBC Bank & Trust Co. Cayman Ltd., and INTRIA Items Inc.

Jalynn H Bennett, C.M.
Jalynn H. Bennett is President of Jalynn H. Bennett and Associates Ltd., a consulting firm in strategic planning and organizational development in both the public and private sectors. She holds a degree, specializing in economics, from the University of Toronto. She is currently a member of the Lawrence National Centre for Policy and Management Advisory Council, Richard Ivey School of Business; a member of the National Advisory Board of Canada's Outstanding CEO of the Year; and a member of the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation.
She is a Director of The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited, Teck Cominco Limited, Nortel Networks Corporation and Nortel Networks Limited. Mrs. Bennett has served on a number of Boards in the not-for-profit sector. She is a director of SickKids Foundation and served as a Trustee on the Board for The Hospital for Sick Children. She is the past Chair and an honorary member of the Board of Governors of Trent University. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Toronto Stock Exchange, Canadian Stock Exchange and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants' Joint Committee on Corporate Governance (The Saucier Committee).
Mrs. Bennett has been a recipient of a YWCA of Metro Toronto, Women of Distinction Award in Public Affairs and Communications, and a McGill University Management Achievement Award. She was made a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors in 1999 and a Member of the Order of Canada in 2000. She holds an honorary degree, Doctor of Sacred Letters (honoris causa) from Trinity College, University of Toronto.

Freddy De Gasperis Jr.
Freddy De Gasperis Jr.
Freddy DeGasperis Jr. is one of the original founders of Aspen Ridge Homes Ltd., a division of the Con Drain Team of Companies. In its first year, Aspen Ridge Homes Ltd. started with four employees, one project, and 100 homes. Today, they are one of the top five builders in the GTA. Over the years, the De Gasperis family has had a long history of involvement with such charities as United Way, York Central Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, and Markham Stouffville Hospital and Community Safety Village of York Region. Freddy joined the SickKids Foundation board in 2004 and has been instrumental in spear heading the Foundation's SickKidsLeaders initiative, a volunteer peer-to-peer giving program that garners the leadership and support of business professionals in Ontario.

Jill Denham was recently the Vice Chair, CIBC Retail Markets (2001-2005), an organization of more than 19,000 employees who together provide financial services to approximately nine million retail and 470,000 small business clients in Canada.
Ms. Denham joined Wood Gundy in 1983 as an Assistant Vice-President in Corporate Finance and was promoted to Vice-President in 1986 and Director in 1987. Jill became Vice-President and Director of the Merchant Banking division of CIBC Wood Gundy Capital in 1990, and became President of that division in 1992.
In 1995, Ms. Denham was reassigned to London, England, as Managing Director of CIBC Wood Gundy's Origination and Structuring operations in Europe. Jill was promoted to Managing Director and Executive Vice-President, Europe, in 1997.
On her return to Canada in June 1999, she assumed responsibility for the Commercial Banking business in addition to her World Markets responsibilities. Jill also assumed responsibility for CIBC World Markets e-commerce in March 2000.
The Financial Post has named her one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Canada for the past three years. In 2004 US Banker named her the eighth most influential female banking executive in North America. Jill is a Director of the SickKids Foundation Board and the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation.
Ms. Denham holds an HBA from the University of Western Ontario School of Business Administration and an MBA (Baker Scholar) from the Harvard Business School.
Ms. Denham is married and has three children.

Claire Duboc received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1984, and a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario in 1997. Claire has held various management roles in companies including Procter & Gamble and Catalina Marketing and Loyalty Management Group as well as working as an independent consultant.
Claire has been active in Operation Herbie at SickKids Foundation since 1998. Claire's other volunteer affiliations include the Canadian Paraplegic Association and Special Olympics Canada.

Don Fitzpatrick is a Partner in the Real Estate Services Group, heads the Real Estate Advisory Practice and is Deloitte's National Real Estate Industry Leader. Don has been involved in the Real Estate Industry since 1981 and has held a number of senior level positions in the industry. He has worked on a number of Canada's most significant investment and leasing transactions, and he provides strategic real estate advice to many of Canada's largest corporations, public sector entities and many of Deloitte's private clients. Deloitte's Real Estate Advisory practice focuses on all aspects of the real estate development and transaction process, including up-front feasibility and development planning, financing, execution, due diligence and disposition strategy.

Mitchell Goldhar is the owner of SmartCentres, an owner, developer, and operator of retail shopping facilities. Mitchell was born and raised in Toronto and has developed a reputation for advanced planning combined with an old-fashioned work ethic. Mitchell's vision to build value in Canadian communities through the design of unenclosed retail destinations has created a network of centres across Canada offering a wide array of exciting retailers accessible to the incomes and lifestyles of all Canadians. Under Mitchell's direction, First Pro has grown from 1.5 million square feet 12 years ago to over 26 million square feet today at over 160 locations across Canada. Upon completion, the portfolio will reach 43 million square feet.
Mr. Goldhar has been instrumental in navigating Wal-Mart's expansion into Canada, establishing SmartCentres as the only development partner of Wal-Mart in the world. In 1994, First Pro opened the first Wal-Mart Canada store in Barrie, Ontario, and since then SmartCentres has helped to open 117 different stores across Canada.
Mr. Goldhar holds a B.A. in Political Science from York University, and is in his 7th year of teaching as an adjunct professor with the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.

Stephen Green is a Partner at Green and Spiegel, Barristers and Solicitors. He is Founder and Chairman of SickKids Leaders and has also served as a Director of the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation and on the Harmony Movement Board of Directors.

As Group Head, Canadian Banking and President and CEO, TD Canada Trust, Tim’s primary responsibility is the leadership of TD’s Business Bank and Personal Bank, which offer a broad array of financial services and products to TD Canada Trust’s 10 million customers through more than 1,000 branches, a vast network of ATMs, EasyWeb, and EasyLine telephone banking. Tim is also a member of TD Bank Financial Group’s senior executive team.
Over a 25 year career with TD, he has held senior positions in a variety of areas including mutual funds, retail delivery, information technology, core banking and small business, Visa and personal lending.
A recipient of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” Award, Tim obtained an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1997, and now sits on the Advisory Board of the Richard Ivey School of Business.
In 2007 Tim was appointed Chair of the Canadian Bankers Association and was named to the board of directors of SickKids Foundation, the largest non-governmental granting agency in child health in Canada. He has also served on the boards of VFC, OBSI (The Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments), and TD Bank USA.
Tim and his wife Lana reside in Mississauga, Ontario. They have two sons.
Robin Humphreys, MD
Robin Humphreys, MD
Dr. Humphreys is a medical graduate from the University of Toronto where he also completed his postgraduate training in neurosurgery. He is a Fellow, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is an Emeritus Professor, Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto and has been regularly invited to teach in the United States, Europe and South America. He is past president of the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery, and the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery. In 2003 the American Association of Neurological Surgeons honoured him as the Donald D. Matson Lecturer.
Dr. Humphreys was appointed to the Department of Surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children in 1970, at which time he collaborated in the development of Canada's first craniofacial program. During his 33 years at SickKids where he is now a honorary consultant, he has served as the hospital's neurosurgeon-in-chief and was the inaugural recipient of the Harold J. Hoffman/Shoppers Drug Mart Chair in Paediatric Neurosurgery. He has worked on the hospital's Medical Advisory Committee and Board of Trustees, and is the past chair of the Facilities Planning and Capital Equipment Committees. In 2003, he received the Claus Wirsig Humanitarian Award from SickKids Foundation.
Locally, Dr. Humphreys has accepted invitations to speak in provincial forums at OISE, Osgoode Hall, the Science Teachers' Association of Ontario, and the Toronto Arts Foundation. He continues to serve as an expert witness for the office of the Crown Attorney in Toronto.

Golnar Khosrowshahi is a Managing Director at Drug Royalty Corporation, a pharmaceutical royalty investment firm based in Toronto. She is also a trustee of Pearson College, one of the United World Colleges located in British Columbia, and a trustee of the Enyclopaedia Iranica Foundation at the Columbia University Centre for Iranian Studies in New York. Prior to relocating Toronto, Ms. Khosrowshahi spent 10 years in New York City where she was, most recently, head of account services and business development at Imagination NYC, an experiential design firm headquartered in the United Kingdom. Ms. Khosrowshahi began her career in advertising at Euro RSCG Worldwide.
She has a BA from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia University in New York. She is married with two young children.

Fraser D. Latta acts as a private investor and is the director of several private companies. Since 1989 he was Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Cott Corporation, the world's largest supplier of store brand beverages and the fourth largest soft drink company in the world. He resigned in 2001 and is a director on Menu Foods Genpar Limited, the operating company of Menu Foods Income Fund. Mr. Latta is past chair of the Board of Governors of Havergal College. He is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Tom Long is Partner at Egon Zehnder International, Inc., a global executive search firm with additional practice areas in corporate governance, talent management and management appraisal.
Mr. Long was an associate at two law firms and held an executive position with Dom Group Limited, one of Canada's major retailers. Mr. Long also led the establishment of the Toronto practice of Egon Zehnder International.
Mr. Long earned a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and was called to the bar in 1984. Since the age of 19, Mr. Long has been known for his extensive political involvement and as a political organizer and strategist, has been very active in provincial, national and international politics.

Frank Luk is the President of Supercom Canada Ltd. He received his Masters of Professional Accounting at the University of Texas and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a director and past president of the Canada Chinese Computer Association and served for 4 years as a director of the Chinese Business Association. Mr. Luk has extensive philanthropic interests in and around the GTA with such organizations as the United Way, Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club, Scouts Canada Foundation, Kidney Foundation, and the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation. He was the co-chair of the United Way Blossom Ball in 2005 and 2006.

Mary Mogford is a member of the Board of Directors of MDS Inc.; the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan; the Institute of Corporate Directors of Canada (ICD); and the PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Board. She has also served on the Boards of Directors of Falconbridge Limited; Sears Canada; Sears Canada Bank; Empire Company Limited; Battle Mountain Gold of Houston, Texas; Midland Walwyn Inc.; Credit Suisse Canada; Credit Suisse First Boston Canada; Hemlo Gold; Teranet Inc.; Ontario Blue Cross and the Altamira Advisory Council.
Ms. Mogford is also a member of the Directors Advisory Group to the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA). She is an Honorary Member of the Board of the Hospital for Sick Children, an Honorary Governor of Trent University and an Associate Member of the Board of the Canadian Policy Research Network. Ms. Mogford was formerly Vice Chair of the Hospital for Sick Children; a Trustee of the Toronto Symphony Foundation; the Chair of the Ontario SuperBuild Board; a member of the Economic Council of Canada and the Board of the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
In May of 2002, Ms. Mogford was made a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors in recognition of her contribution to corporate governance in Canada. In June 2004, she was one of the first directors in Canada to receive the professional designation ICD.D. after successfully completing the ICD Corporate Governance College Directors’ Education Program.
Ms. Mogford was formerly Ontario Deputy Minister of Finance (Treasury and Economics) and Deputy Minister of Natural Resources. She was the first woman to be appointed to either of these positions.
Ms. Mogford was educated at the University of Wales and at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia where she was the Lady Astor Scholar.

Janice O'Born is Chairman of The Printing House (TPH) Charitable Office and owner of the Yorkville-based AxiSpa and Salon. Having founded The Charitable Office in 1983, Janice's vision was to promote philanthropy to the staff of TPH and effectively manage the numerous charitable requests the company receives each year.
Janice's charitable efforts have known no boundaries, as volunteer work has always been, and continues to be, an important part of her life. Janice has chaired many special events and has sat on the Board of Directors of numerous charities in the past. Aside from her commitments to SickKids Foundation Board, she currently devotes her time to the board of CANFAR (Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research); acts as an advisor to the special events committee of Opera Atelier; A Day at the Races for AARC (Arthritis & Autoimmunity Research Centre); and the CCCJ (Canadian Council of Christians and Jews) dinner committee. This year she will also be chair Circle of Care, and the Gala for the Shaw Festival.
Born and raised in England, Janice lived in Australia for several years before immigrating to Vancouver in 1978 and then Toronto in 1983. An avid gardener, Janice is married with two children.

Aaron W. Regent is the Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management and recent past President of Falconbridge Ltd.
Prior to that he was Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Noranda Inc. (2000-2002), President and Chief Executive Officer of Trilon Securities Corporation (1996-2000) and Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Brascan Corporation (1992-1996), now known as Brookfield Asset Management Inc.
Aaron is the Chairman of the Nickel Development Institute and a member of the Board of Directors of Koniambo Nickel SAS, the C.D. Howe Institute and the National Ballet of Canada.

Edward Rogers was appointed President & Chief Executive Officer for Rogers Cable Inc. January 1, 2003. Rogers Cable Inc is made of three business units. Rogers Cable is Canada's largest cable television provider offering cable television, high-speed Internet access and residential telephony services. Its Rogers Business Solutions division is a national provider of voice communications services, data networking and broadband Internet connectivity to small, medium and large businesses across the country. Rogers Retail is one of the largest retail chains in Canada with almost 500 stores. In 2007 the Company generated $3.6 billion in revenue, and had over 10,000 employees.
After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, Mr. Rogers spent 2 ½ years with Comcast Corporation, a U.S. cable and cellular company, out of Philadelphia, U.S.A. His U.S. experience covered sales, marketing, new product development and strategic planning.
Mr. Rogers is on the Board of Directors for Rogers Communications Inc., The Sigma Chi Foundation, The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation and The OnexOne Foundation. Edward is his wife Suzanne are honorary founders of OnexOne, a charitable organization which assists in improving the lives of children in Canada and around the world.

Irwin Rotenberg is President of Lissom Holdings Ltd., a private investment company. Over the past 24 years, he has been actively engaged in the investment industry. Prior to February 2004, Irwin was Managing Director of TD Harbour Capital, an investment counselor for high net worth individuals.
Mr. Rotenberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts and the Association for Investment Management and Research. Mr. Rotenberg serves on the Foundation Investment Committee.
Reza Satchu

Reza Satchu is Chairman and CEO of Stellation Asset Management LLC, a global equity hedge fund. He is also founder and Chairman of StorageNow Holdings Inc, a leading self-storage company with sites across Canada.
Mr. Satchu has spent the last 13 years in New York City where he was Managing Director of Fenway Partners, a private equity firm, and co-founder of Suppliermarket, a procurement software company. He started his career in high yield finance at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Satchu has a BA from McGill University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is married with three young children and is currently a Visiting Professor at University of Toronto where he teaches a course on Entrepreneurship.

Andrew J. Sheiner is Managing Director of Onex Corporation and a Director of several Onex subsidiaries. Mr. Sheiner, a graduate of McGill University and Harvard University, worked previously for a private real estate company and for McKinsey & Company. Mr. Sheiner is very active as co-chair of SickKids Leaders, a program founded in 2002 and focused on expanding SickKids reach with leaders in the community.

Kathleen (Katie) Taylor is President, Worldwide Business Operations, for The Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the world's leading operator of luxury hotels. Katie joined Four Seasons in 1989 and was appointed President in 1999. Katie is a Director of the Royal Bank of Canada and a member of its Audit and Human Resources Committees. On the charitable side, Katie is a member of the Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Toronto and Chair of the Endowment Giving portfolio. She joined the SickKids Foundation board in 2004. Katie obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and her M.B.A. from York University in 1984. In 2001 she was honoured by York University with the Schulich Award for Outstanding Executive Leadership.

Erol Uzumeri manages Teachers’ Private Capital, a global portfolio of private equity and venture capital investments with $17 billion in invested and committed capital. Teachers’ Private Capital is the private equity and venture capital arm of the $108 billion Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.
Erol has been involved in a number of investments, including BCE, Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment, New Zealand Yellow Pages, Alexander Forbes, Covalent Materials (Toshiba Ceramics), Idea Cellular, Kabel Deutschland, Grupo Corporativo Ono, and Almatis. He currently serves on the board of directors of Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment and BCE (upon closing), and has served on the boards of Almatis, New Zealand Yellow Pages, and Kabel Deutschland. He also sits on the advisory boards of a number of leading private equity funds.
Prior to joining Teachers’, Erol was Vice President of CVC International in London, England, where he evaluated, structured, and executed a number of private equity investments in Europe and the emerging markets. He holds a B.A.Sc. (Industrial Engineering) from the University of Toronto, an M.Sc. (Finance) from the London Business School, and is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

After acquiring a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering, Mr. Watsa obtained his Masters of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. is a financial services holding company that Mr. Watsa took over in 1985. The company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in property, casualty and life insurance, as well as investment management.
Mr. Watsa is also a member of the Board of Trustees for The Hospital for Sick Children, the Advisory Board for the Richard Ivey School of Business and the Royal Ontario Museum Foundation Board of Directors as well as Chairman of the Investment Committee of St. Paul's Anglican Church.
Donald Woodley

Donald Woodley is a principal of The Fifth Line Enterprise, a privately held company providing strategic advisory services to Canadian industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of TELUS Corporation, DataMirror Corporation, Gennum Corporation and Steam Whistle Brewing. His past executive experience includes three years as President of Oracle Corporation Canada Inc. (1997-99) 10 years as President of Compaq Canada Inc. (1987-97), and his current service as acting Chair of Canada Post Corporation.
Mr. Woodley is a Past Chair of the Board of Governors of ITAC (Information Technology Association of Canada) and a Past Chair of the Board of Governors of The Stratford Festival of Canada.
Mr. Woodley holds a B.Comm (U of S '67) and an MBA (Richard Ivey School of Business, UWO '70). He resides in Mono Township, Ontario.
