Melody

Melody Hicks, R.N.

Shortly after completing a bachelor of science in nursing, Melody joined The Hospital for Sick Children. Since then she’s worked as a bedside nurse, charge nurse, resource person, nurse educator, clinical instructor for the perinatal intensive care program at George Brown College and finally as a CHS manager. Her current role at the hospital is diverse. In addition to coordinating clinical resources, she also acts as a mentor and coach to the nursing team. “Being able to support the nurses’ needs at the bedside and coaching them through their career development is one of the biggest rewards for me,” said Melody.

This is the second year Melody volunteered to participate in the SickKids “Believe.” campaign.

“I chose to be part of the SickKids “Believe.” campaign because it was important for me to demonstrate and promote the public’s awareness of the dedication, passion, and excellence in care that SickKids continues to provide to our patients and their families.”
