J.P. Bickell Society

SickKids Foundation welcomes you to consider becoming a member of the J.P. Bickell Society. The Society recognizes donors of future bequests and planned gifts, and promotes philanthropy. As a member of the J.P. Bickell Society you can choose to become an active participant in SickKids legacy of caring for children. Members will be invited to an annual event and, if they wish, be listed in the annual report. You will be part of a special group of individuals who are committed to improving the health and well-being of children with a thoughtful future gift.

Designating Your Gift

A designated gift can benefit the development and continuation of our leading programs in children's clinical care, medical research and teaching. An undesignated gift allows SickKids Foundation to allocate your resources to the most urgent need.




Funds can be endowed in an area of need and can be named in honour of a family member, friend, colleague or in your own name.

A gift of $50,000 is the minimum required to establish an Endowment Fund.


Our research seeks to improve the understanding, prevention and treatment of children's diseases.

Pioneering clinical advances, better treatment and cures through world renowned Centres of Excellence. This includes all aspects of patient care, patient amenities that offer programs specifically for children and state of the art capital equipment to facilitate the very best care.

Teaching and informing others. Creative and leading edge programs designed to generate knowledge and share expertise through working with community based groups and other hospitals.

Supporting the broader aims of child health in Canada to develop research skills in paediatric health sciences and generating knowledge in specific areas relating to child health. This is accomplished through scholarships, fellowships, research project funding and granting.
