Unlike hospitals for adults, SickKids needs to buy equipment in different sizes. Our patients range from the tiniest newborns to teenagers.
The laws of the market mean our costs are high, because demand (but not need) is low.
This year, our priority needs include infant ventilators for critical care, clinical thermometers, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging devices.
