Joey Conte Foundation
The Joey Conte Foundation started in 2011 by Frank and Rosie Conte in memory of their son Joey. The Joey Conte Foundation is run by family and friends that were all touched by Joey’s loving and caring nature. Together, they keep his memory alive and continue Joey’s legacy. Joey’s passion and goal was to become a firefighter.
Over the past 7 years, the Joey Conte Foundation has donated over $200,000 in support of the Burns & Plastics Unit, to help children who have been affected by fire. Most recently, they have agreed to donate funds from their Annual Gala to Project Horizon, the re-build of SickKids.
We would like to thank and congratulate Rosie, Frank and the entire Joey Conte Foundation committee for everything they have done and continue to do for SickKids. We are extremely grateful for all of their support over the past 7 years and for the years to come. Thank you!

LIUNA Local 183
LIUNA Local 183 was founded in 1952 with 400 members. It has now grown to be the largest Construction Local Union in North America, representing more than 52,000 construction workers and their families in the Greater Toronto Area. Their members work in every aspect of the construction industry. It comes as no surprise then that LIUNA Local 183 is responsible for the largest and most successful Charity Golf Tournament in Ontario which is heading into its 19th year!
In 2007, with incredible vision and leadership, LIUNA Local 183 made the commitment of contributing a remarkable $1 million to SickKids through their tournament. That vision and commitment established the LIUNA Local 183 Innovative Research Endowment Fund, allowing SickKids to pursue innovative and unconventional research ideas.
SickKids is proud to have been a beneficiary of this wonderful community endeavour for over a decade, and would like to publicly congratulate LIUNA Local 183 for the fulfillment of this incredible commitment. We are honoured to be part of the LIUNA Local 183 Family
